Beta Pricing
ProtonAuctions is free for the whole public beta. There is no price, no card, and no trial clock. You get the full plugin, and helping find the rough edges now is the point.
What you get
The complete plugin, the same one heading for stable. What is solid and what is still maturing is tracked honestly on Beta Phase. Because the beta runs on the same resource as the stable release, the feedback and reviews you leave now carry over, so nothing you put in during the beta is wasted.
How the beta ends
A beta key unlocks beta builds only, and the free beta is not a permanent version. The public beta runs for 30 days. On day 30 the stable release comes out and the beta starts to wind down:
- Over the next seven days, days 31 to 37, every beta key ends. The least active servers end first and the busiest last.
- From the moment the wind-down starts until your own end date, the plugin tells you how long is left. Your staff see it in the console at every start and in game, and players get one short line when they join, in plain gameplay words.
- A beta key downloaded after the wind-down has started ends with the last group, on day 37.
Before your key ends you have two clean options: pick up a paid Standard or Enterprise licence to carry straight on, or move to a different plugin.
What happens when your key ends
Your server is not switched off and nothing is deleted. ProtonAuctions keeps running in recovery-only mode:
- Buying, selling, bidding and barter stop.
- Every listing goes back to its seller, and every barter offer to the player who made it.
- Players collect their items and money with
/ah claim. - Activating a paid licence turns trading back on.
See Data Safety for how your data is protected along the way.
This wind-down applies only to the free beta. A paid Standard or Enterprise licence is never switched off this way. Once you have bought it, it ends only through a refund or a serious breach of the terms.
